A Community in Bloom
To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow. 601 Spring Garden is the space for the next generation of Philadelphia's creators to leave their mark on the city. The redeveloped manufacturing building has its roots firm in the Spring Arts District and offers a community and coworking space built with wellness in mind. Business will not be the same as before, but at 601 Spring Garden it’s just as vibrant, and perhaps more resilient.
The pandemic cannot bury us. We are resilient seeds able to thrive under any condition. So while unexpected changes were laid upon us, we’re blooming in a new collective manner. See what’s growing here.
Our Community is Thriving…
PhilaMOCA

The Rail Park: Phase I
The Rail Park utilized three miles of unused rail lines to create a usable, beautiful, public space for all. The Rail Park connects 10 neighborhoods and 50 city blocks with open spaces and various programs for local Philadelphians and visitors alike.
Sting Arts
For a few years now Sting Arts has hosted a bee colony on the roof of a few Spring Arts buildings. They are friendly and produce honey for our local businesses to use.
Pop-Up Collaborations at the Viaduct
Creative agency Cohere built a secret garden oasis at 10th & Hamilton Street. They had 40+ safe outdoor events in 2020 and are creating a super special nature retreat in 2021.
Triple Bottom Brewing
It’s bigger than beer, Triple Bottom Brewery is a woman-owned fair-chance brewery with a mission to actively hire and provide employment to people who might otherwise be excluded from economic opportunity.
Annual & Seasonal Cleanups
Each season we collaborate with neighbors to help clean up Callowhill and Spring Arts area streets and reward ourselves afterwards with beer token from Love City Brewery.
Green Plans for a Green Future.
Spring Garden will be transformed into Spring Garden Street Greenway, the most pedestrian-and bike-friendly thoroughfare in the city. The Pennsylvania Environmental Council (PEC) plans to revive the grand urban boulevard that Spring Garden Street once was.
Spring Garden Street Greenway is planned to have traffic-separated bikeways and sidewalks that stretch from Pennsylvania Ave to Delaware Ave, linking the Schuylkill Banks to the Delaware River Trail. This greenway will connect residences and businesses in the Spring Garden, Callowhill, Chinatown, and Northern Liberties neighborhoods.
